Canine rehabilitation therapy is an important part of the recovery process following injury or illness. Dr. Cloud is a certified canine rehabilitation practitioner that works with post-operative orthopedic and neurologic patients. Rehabilitation therapy is designed around each individual patient to ensure a thorough, long-lasting recovery either as an alternative to surgery or as post-surgical treatment.
We utilize physical rehabilitation modalities such as transcutaneous electrical neuromuscular stimulation (TENS), neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES), laser therapy, acupuncture to assist in treating orthopedic, neurologic and chronic conditions brought about by normal aging in our companions, such as osteoarthritis and weight management. These conditions can cause difficulty with normal daily activities, loss of strength, pain, decreased range of motion, loss of coordination, and decreased endurance.
