Dr. Caleb Heatwole DVM, cVMA
Dr. Heatwole’s love for animals began when he was a young boy checking horses and cattle with his Papa. He showed sheep in 4-H while growing up in Canadian, Texas. He fell in love with Lubbock while attending Lubbock Christian University, where he graduated with his Bachelor of Science in 2001. He went on to earn his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M University in 2005 and began his veterinary career in the beautiful Hill Country town of Blanco, TX. He has been practicing in Lubbock since 2009.
His interest in complementary medicine led him to earn his certification in veterinary acupuncture through CuraCore. His desire to bring more complementary options to Lubbock pets has continued through additional education in Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and Stem Cell Therapy, and he is currently working toward his certification in Herbal Medicine. Dr. Heatwole also performs TPLO surgery for dogs with cruciate ligament injuries.
He is married to Cindy Cloud Heatwole, and they have 3 wonderful children and 3 naughty dogs. He is actively involved in the children’s ministry at South Plains Church of Christ. He is a huge Denver Broncos fan and loves snowboarding and hiking in the mountains. Metal detecting is one of his favorite hobbies, even though he has never found anything worth more than 25 cents.
Cindy Cloud MS, DVM, CCRP
Dr. Cloud grew up in a military family in San Antonio, TX. In high school she was active in FFA, where she competed in leadership contests and showed livestock, and throughout high school and college she worked for a veterinarian in San Antonio. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Tarleton State University in 1996, followed by a Master of Science in Animal Science from Texas A&M University. Her graduate work took her around the world to countries such as New Zealand, Australia, and Japan.
In 2005, Dr. Cloud graduated from Texas A&M with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. She practiced in San Antonio before moving to Lubbock in 2009. Her interest in complementary medicine led her to earn her certification in canine rehabilitation (CCRP) from the University of Tennessee. Dr. Cloud believes that knowledge is power and strives to share that knowledge with her clients.
Dr. Cloud is married to Caleb Heatwole, and they have three lovely children and 3 dogs: Dutch (Schnauzer), Sam (Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier), and Addie Blue (a recovering paralyzed Dachshund). The Heatwoles also sponsor three children through Compassion International (compassion.com). When she is not practicing medicine, she is involved in the children’s ministry at church and enjoys traveling and reading.
Becca Bridge, DVM
Dr. Bridge grew up on a farm in Afton, Texas, in Dickens County, where her family raised cotton, alfalfa, and beef cattle. She attended Patton Springs and was a member of 4-H and FFA, showing chickens and pigs. A third-generation Red Raider, she graduated from Texas Tech with her Animal Science degree in 1999. During her years at Tech, she worked for Dr. Susan Bozeman at Bozeman Animal Clinic. She then attended Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine and earned her DVM in 2004.
After veterinary school, she completed an equine internship at Oakridge Equine Hospital in Edmond, OK, then moved to Fort Collins, CO, where she spent several years in small animal private practice, as a shelter veterinarian, and working for several spay/neuter facilities. In 2008, she moved back home to Texas and served as an emergency veterinarian at the Lubbock Small Animal Emergency Clinic for 11 years. She joined the Hub City Veterinary Clinic team in February 2020 and absolutely loves it. She has a passion for soft tissue surgery, feline medicine, and ministering to people and animals in need, and she believes God has her in this field to serve others.
Dr. Bridge loves Jesus, country life, and her family, particularly her niece and nephew. She has a big orange and white tabby cat, a rescue of course, named Sir Andre’, and she also claims her parents’ dogs, Conrad, a Great Pyrenees, and Socks, a Hanging Tree Cowdog. She sponsors two kiddos with Compassion International and strives to show the love of Christ to those she meets. She also loves studying God’s Word, watching Texas Tech football, running, and traveling, and she hopes to go on more medical mission trips in the future.
Madi McIntire, DVM
Dr. Madi McIntire is excited to be back in Lubbock and part of Hub City Veterinary Clinic! She grew up near Lubbock in Shallowater and became interested in veterinary medicine as a young child while watching local veterinarians care for her dogs and cats. That spark led her to pursue an animal science degree with an equine certificate at Texas Tech, a natural choice since her dad played for the Red Raider football team and her mom was active in many campus organizations. Go Red Raiders! While in undergrad, she worked at a local veterinary clinic and assisted with research in the animal science lab, and on free weekends she enjoyed working weddings.
Dr. Madi earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University. A memorable moment during her studies was attending classes in Alaska, where she discovered that Alaskan sled dogs are an absolute joy to be around. In 2021, she moved to Hobbs, New Mexico, to work with a longtime mentor in his veterinary clinic, gaining broad experience treating all types of animals. Her love for the Lubbock area and being closer to her family brought her back home. She is particularly interested in preventive and critical care along with internal medicine, and she strives to give well-rounded, thoughtful attention to every patient that strides, hops, trots, or scurries into her exam room.
Dr. Madi loves spending time with her family, and sports hold a special place in the McIntire household. In her free time, you will often find her playing kickball or catch with her 7 nieces and nephews or relaxing on the couch with the current college football game on TV. She loves exploring everything Lubbock and the surrounding area have to offer and going on long walks with her two dogs, Sanna and Lily. She loves listening to worship songs, finds joy in the beauty Jesus Christ has created in her life, and is dedicated to passing that joy on to others.
Amber Stone, DVM
Dr. Amber Stone was born and raised in the heart of West Texas, in Lubbock. A creative spirit from a young age, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from Texas Tech University and built a career as a full-time graphic designer.
Still, Amber always carried a lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian. With faith, determination, and a deep love for animals, she made the bold decision to return to school. During this life-changing season, she also became a wife and mother, welcoming her daughter, Rose, while completing her veterinary school prerequisites.
Amber, her husband Austin, and their young daughter moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she attended the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. Life in Louisiana brought new joys: she fell in love with red beans and rice, jambalaya, and the lush landscapes of trees and swamps, though she never quite got used to the humidity.
After earning her veterinary degree, Amber and her family returned home to Lubbock, where she continues to nurture both her professional and personal passions. In her free time, she enjoys birdwatching (especially hummingbirds), watercolor painting, baking sweet treats, and playing retro Nintendo games with her family. She has a soft spot for small, fluffy dogs, particularly Yorkies, and loves wildlife. She shares her home with her beloved dogs Salem and Batman and a curious, playful kitten named Rosie. Driven by compassion, creativity, and curiosity, Amber balances family, medicine, and her many passions with grace.
