Where is Hub City Veterinary Clinic located?
We are located at 10717 Milwaukee Avenue, Lubbock, TX 79424, serving pet families throughout Lubbock and the South Plains.
What are your hours?
We are open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. We are closed Saturday and Sunday.
Are you accepting new clients?
Yes. We welcome new clients and their pets. Call us or request an appointment online to get started.
Do you accept walk-ins?
Appointments are appreciated and walk-ins are welcome. Scheduling ahead helps minimize your wait.
What types of pets do you treat?
Our veterinarians primarily care for dogs and cats at every life stage, from puppies and kittens to seniors.
What should I bring to my pet’s first visit?
Bring previous medical and vaccine records, adoption or breeder paperwork, a list of medications, and a fresh stool sample. Dogs should be leashed and cats should be in a carrier.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, debit cards, and Visa and Mastercard credit cards. We also offer payment plans through Cherry with no hard credit check.
Do you recommend pet insurance?
Yes. Pet insurance can help you prepare for unexpected veterinary costs. Enrolling while your pet is young and healthy usually provides the best coverage.
How often does my pet need a wellness exam?
We recommend annual exams for pets under 7 years old and exams every six months for pets 7 and older.
When should my puppy or kitten start vaccines?
We recommend starting vaccines between 6 and 8 weeks of age, with the juvenile series usually completed around 16 weeks.
Does my pet need heartworm and flea prevention all year?
Yes. Mosquitoes, fleas, and ticks can be active much of the year in West Texas, so we recommend year-round prevention.
Do you perform dental cleanings?
Yes. We perform professional dental cleanings under anesthesia, including cleaning below the gumline, with careful monitoring throughout.
Do you offer surgery?
Yes. We perform general surgery and TPLO surgery for dogs with cruciate ligament injuries.
Do you offer acupuncture and other complementary therapies?
Yes. We offer acupuncture, laser therapy, platelet rich plasma, stem cell therapy, regenerative medicine, herbal medicine, and canine rehabilitation.
What diagnostic services do you offer?
We offer an in-house laboratory, digital radiology, endoscopy, and ultrasound in partnership with a board-certified veterinary internal medicine specialist.
Is your clinic cat friendly?
Yes. We have a separate feline waiting area, an exclusive cat exam room, and many Fear Free Certified team members.
Can I refill my pet’s prescriptions online?
Yes. Our online pharmacy offers medications, preventives, and prescription diets with home delivery.
