What to Expect on Your Visit to Hub City Veterinary Clinic
Much thought and care went into the design and layout of Hub City Veterinary Clinic. Our goal is to give you and your pet the best experience possible, from the moment you walk in until you head home. Our exam rooms are spacious enough for large pets and multiple family members, and we offer an exclusive cat exam room and feline waiting area to minimize stress during your cat’s visit.
Appointments are appreciated, and walk-ins are welcome.
Checking In
When you arrive, our front desk team will check you in and direct you to our canine or feline waiting area. Feel free to grab a cold beverage or a cup of coffee while you wait. We work hard to keep wait times short and make sure your pet is seen in a timely manner. New clients can speed up check-in by completing forms ahead of time. See our before your first visit page for details.
Meeting Our Medical Team
A member of our medical team will greet you and escort you and your pet to one of our four exam rooms. They will take your pet’s routine vitals, including weight, temperature, heart rate, and respiratory rate, and review your pet’s medical history, current medications, diet, and any concerns you have noticed at home.
Your Pet’s Physical Exam
One of our skilled and compassionate veterinarians will then consult with you and perform a thorough physical examination. All body systems will be evaluated, including:
- Heart and lung evaluation
- Ear examination
- Eye examination
- Dental evaluation
- Neurologic evaluation
- Abdominal organ evaluation
- Musculoskeletal evaluation
- Coat and skin analysis
- Weight assessment and nutritional counseling
Recommendations and Next Steps
After the exam, your veterinarian will explain what they found and make recommendations based on your pet’s consultation and examination. This may include vaccines, parasite prevention, bloodwork, dental care, or further diagnostics. We will always review your options and answer your questions so you can make informed decisions. Before you leave, our team will go over any medications, home care instructions, and when to schedule your pet’s next visit. You can explore all of our veterinary services online.
